"Daddy"

This peom is from a young lady who was terrifed and hatred her father since a child. She tells how she felt like a Jewish person to him since he was German. She also tells how she couldn't talk to him, she was even scared to speak to him. She had so much hatred towards her father, that she wanted to kill her self to get back at him. This poem showed me just how much hatred someone can have.

"Leda and the Swan"

The story seems wierd to me. I really didnt uderstand some of the text, but i did catch the fact she was being raped by a swan. I looked up more info. about the poem and found out the swan was Zeus, Greek god, formed in to a swan. That was very shocking and made me realize how much power Greek gods had.

"The Chimney Sweeper" by William Blake

The story is told by a young boy, whose living a horrible life but sees better after life. The boy explains how since his mother's death life has been rough .The boy was sold by father and now is a chimney sweeper. He has no where to live, so he sleeps in soots. The boy hangs his head low when he thinks about his life but when he sleeps he sees his after life. In his dream he sees his friends and others whose living rough lives going to heaven and if the boy keep his head up and not lose faith he will go to. So when he wakes up he holds his head high because he know life on earth is temporary but life in heaven is eternal. The point the peom is trying to get across is no matter how hard life is or gets never lose faith in God, because he has a better life for you in heaven.

The Yellow Wallpaper

I thought the story "The Yellow Wallpaer was good. The narrator gives great details about the yellow wallpaper in the room. Me personally I believe that the stains in the walls had some fumes in it which made her illness become worst. The image of the women in the wall, who was trying to get out i think was a representation of her being trapped in the room. I wish the story would have told us (readers) if she left the room and if she did what happen after.

The Tell-Tale Heart

I thought the story was great even though the narrator  was insane but also creative and smart at the same time. I like how he descried every detail so closely into how everynight at midnight he would watch over the old man. The narrator could have got away with a perfect murder to me but his conscience was eating at him. Which maked him believe that the old man's heart was still beating which lead him confess about the murder to the policeman. I was shocked when he told the policeman.

a rose for Emily

I liked the story "A Rose for Emily" alot by William Faulker but the order the narrator told the story in was different to me. The first section talked about her (Emily) after her death. The second section talked about her thirty years earlier keeping her farther's body which i thought was very weird. In third section Emily falls heads over heels for Homer Barron. Section four goes on about the town people thinking Emily is going to kill his self. The last section, setion five talks about the burial for Emily and what all they seen in the house.
